Master Class in Child Psychiatric Diagnostic Interviewing, Formulation, & Treatment PlanningIntended Audience: Psychiatrists and Child & Adolescent PsychiatristsEducational Objectives: 1.Employ techniques for establishing rapport with adolescent psychiatric patients. 2.Detect subtle abnormalities on mental status examination among child and adolescent patients. 3.Conduct psychiatric diagnostic interviews with and develop formulations and treatment plans for adolescents with a wide range of psychiatric disorders. 4.Demonstrate ability to maintain interview control and guidance over disruptive patient behaviors. 5.Demonstrate ability to present comprehensive and organized a) case synopses, b) biopsychosocial formulations, c) differential diagnoses, d) prognostic indicators, and e) paired problem –treatment intervention lists.
