Jack Krasuski, MD, is the founder of the American Physician Institute for Advanced Professional Studies. He continues to develop educational and training courses for psychiatrists and other health care professionals and personally trains approximately one thousand psychiatrists a year. Dr. Krasuski completed a three year fellowship at the National Institutes of Health as a Senior Staff Fellow. He then returned to his alma mater, the University of Illinois, to take an academic position in the medical school. Dr. Krasuski is married, has three children and lives in Hinsdale, IL, a suburb of Chicago.
Robert Marvin, MD

Dr. Marvin is the embodiment of the new direction academic psychiatrists are working towards at the University of Illinois Medical Center. Having trained at University of Wisconsin for medical school, he came to Illinois for his Psychiatry Residency Training. After graduation, he stayed on as Assistant Professor and became active in the clinical and educational missions of the department. He worked as Assistant Residency Training Director and clinical supervisor to psychiatry residents. In the last two years he aligned himself with the Psychosis Program, led by John Sweeney, PhD, and cultivated a team specializing in prodromal and first episode psychosis. In fall of 2004, he took over the role of Residency Training Director with the goal of integrating the departmental missions of outstanding clinical service, cutting-edge research, and superior education into the training program.
