I'd like to share with you the foundational values all of us at American Physician Institute for Advanced Professional Studies adhere to. They make us who we are. 

1. Educational Content Designed to Optimize Board Exam Success
The single goal we've established for our Beat The Boards! courses is to get you to pass your board exam. We are unapologetic in maintaining a specific focus on successful exam preparation - everything that is included on a particular exam is included in the preparation course designed for that exam. And if a topic area is absent from the exam, then it is absent from the course too. Further, the amount of time we focus on a topic at the course is proportional to the importance of that topic on the board exam. 

Further, our course content is designed to improve retention. We incorporate mnemonic devices, illustrations, and other memory enhancing techniques whenever possible. Our two-pronged approach is to explain a topic's underlying concepts to lead you to a deeper level of understanding of that topic and then to provide you with granularly detailed, step-by-step instructions to permit you to quickly incorporate new knowledge and skills into your clinical armamentarium.

2. Great Guarantees to Foster An Ongoing Relationship
Every course we offer has an exceptional guarantee. We believe that when you invest in one of our courses, you don't simply purchase a course. Rather, you invest in success. If you are not successful in reaching your goal, then we shouldn't (and don't) benefit from your course attendance and, in fact, often pay a financial penalty for our shortcoming. 

This approach of powerful guarantees is in place to foster a stronger, longer-lasting relationshop between you and us. We don't try to hide behind making a "good effort." We expect to lead you to success and nothing short of that will do. 

This focus on developing a long-term and trusting relationship between us places a burden on us. We cannot afford to offer a weak product because that will reflect poorly on everything else we offer. We know that such a product will decrease your trust in us and make you that much less likely to attend any other courses and conferences that we offer. 

However, When we succeed, we benefit by having in you a person who is happy to recommend us to colleagues and to attend our further courses and conferences. 

This win-win approach provides you with excellent educational products and provides us with satisfied repeat clients. 

3. Freedom from Industry Sponsorship and Influence
The current model of continuing medical education, so much of it sponsored by industry, is broken. We believe in maintaining deep independence of the educational content that our faculty present to you. We are not beholden to anyone for sponsorship dollars. All of our courses and conferences are funded through course registration fees alone. 

4. Sharing of Free Study Resources
One of our cornerstones is to provide you with free materials to further your learning. If you find this material useful in your educational endeavors and decide to further your relationship with us through our board preparation courses then that's great. If not, then that's fine too. We continue to invest in developing further new free materials that would not be available to you anywhere else for any price. Our overriding concern is that you are as prepared for your exam as possible. If we succeed in that, then business will take care of itself.

5. Continual Improvement
Medical knowledge does not stand still. And educational approaches are themselves continually evolving, especially in the area of adult education. Thus, our courses are never developed once and for all. Based on advances in the field as well as on course participants feedback, we continually update, revise, and improve our courses. We understand that our long-term success is dependent on this continual striving for the highest levels of excellence. 

6. Customer Care
Although we have grown as a company since our start in 2002, we continue to have close and personal relationships with our clients. We understand the great importance that board exam success has for you and of our responsibility in helping you get there. Of course, we at times make mistakes. When we do, please don't hesitate to bring it to my attention so that we can correct them and continue to improve.

About Dr. Krasuski
From the beginning of his career as an educator of psychiatrists, Dr. Krasuski's mission has been to improve how learning takes place. He likes techniques that work quickly and effectively from the beginning but also that grow organically, taking root and gaining strength over time. At the American Physician Institute for Advanced Professional Studies we spend a lot of time developing conceptual approaches to make Knowledge seem so commonsensical that it becomes unforgettable. But you as a psychiatrist treat people and need more than extensive knowledge to do your job. We, therefore, take special efforts in presenting training methods that improve your Skill and Performance.

Our Location
The American Physician Institute for Advanced Professional Studies is located in the community of Oak Brook, Illinois. Although a part of the metro Chicago area, Oak Brook's park-like setting feels like an oasis of calm far removed from the urban bustle. It is here that we do our work.
