Shanti Mitchell, MD

Dr. Shanti Mitchell is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and the Program Director of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Michigan. She brings over a decade of experience in psychiatry, with specialized training from the University of Michigan and SUNY Upstate Medical University. Dr. Mitchell is deeply involved in clinical care, education, and leadership, serving as an outpatient attending psychiatrist, educator for residents and fellows, and contributor to school-based mental health initiatives.

Recognized as a “Top Doc” by Hour Detroit in 2023 and 2024, she is also active in research and advocacy, with presentations and publications focused on healthcare equity, wellness, and psychiatric treatments for youth. Dr. Mitchell is a dedicated mentor and advocate for diversity in medical education, making her a leader in shaping the future of child and adolescent mental health care.
